What Is Chiropractic?

“Chiropractic is a philosophy, science, and art of things natural.
A system of adjusting the spine by hand for the correction of the cause of dis-ease”.

Hands on and gentle adjusting techniques

A good chiropractic adjustment, is quick, its effective at restoring joint motion and relieving symptoms, and it should be a largely comfortable process. Our doctors provide safe, effective, clinically proven care to get you out of pain and restore function using both their hands and at times assistance from the tables or a hand held device. We know that not all patients are created equal, and people prefer different approaches. With 30 years combined experience we bring enough knowledge to the table to get the job done with a high level of patient satisfaction.

Massage Therapy

Our care is anchored in the idea that treating all aspects of a musculoskeletal issue provides the most comfortable, most effective, and most efficient solution to managing and relieving pain. We utilize massage therapy extensively to help prepare the body for an adjustment, and achieve better long-term outcomes.

On site x-ray

Not all complaints warrant an X-ray, however in the presence of red-flags, or to evaluate for complicating factors such as scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, or advanced degenerative changes we are equipped to evaluate patients as thoroughly as possible.

Rehabilitation

Getting patients better is only half the fight, when it comes to keeping them better, we offer a variety of low-tech in office rehabilitation options, as well as coaching on home exercise protocols to keep them feeling their best.

Intersegmental Traction

When the joints of the spine aren’t moving properly sometimes it’s more beneficial to provide gentle consistent or repetitive motion to restore movement, rather than a quick adjustment. Traction is also beneficial for relaxation, and relieving muscle tension, as well as providing the type of motion that restores nutrition to the disc spaces.

Electrical Therapies

Electrical stimulation may directly block transmission of pain signals along nerves, and promote the release of endorphins, which are natural painkillers produced by the body. These effects allow muscles to relax and often release spasms in both superficial and deep tissues affecting the patient’s condition.

Ultrasound Therapies

Ultrasound therapy can help reduce swelling, increase blood flow, and decrease pain, stiffness, and spasms, making it a viable therapy for numerous applications. Ultrasound is particularly useful in decreasing inflammation that often contributes to radiating, and deep joint pain.
